What is the Application Process?

Eligibility Criteria for Subclass 870 Visa
For Parents:
• Biological, adoptive, or step-parents of the parent sponsor, who must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.
• No balance of family test or Assurance of Support requirements for this visa.
For Sponsors:
• Must have a taxable income of at least $83,454.80.
• Relationship requirements and age criteria apply.

Differences from Other Parent Visas
Unlike permanent Parent visas, the Subclass 870 Visa:
• Does not have a Balance of Family Test requirement.
• Allows further visa applications for a maximum stay of ten (10) years.
